Terms of Service
Effective October 14, 2026
The short version
- We provide estimating, planning documents and business process consulting. We don’t build, install or supervise, and we are not a contractor, a licensed design professional or an engineer.
- Your planning budget is an estimate, not a quote or a guarantee. Measurements must be verified in the field.
- The homeowner package is $149 through October 31, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET) and $299 from November 1, 2026: 50% when you order, 50% when your documents are delivered.
- Contractors: $150 a job, or $1,500 a month for up to 10 jobs, paid by invoice. Try your first standalone estimate and proposal for $50, paid only if you like it (one per company). On the monthly plan, remodel proposals are back in 2 business days after we have complete photos and measurements (or plans), or that job is free. Additions, ADUs and new homes are priced and dated from the plans.
- Homeowners: scope, delivery date and revisions are confirmed with you before work starts.

1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use planandprice.com, message us, or order from Plan & Price LLC (“Plan & Price,” “we,” “us”), a Massachusetts limited liability company. By ordering or using our services, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
If we confirm something different with you in writing for a specific order, that written confirmation controls for that order.
2. What we provide
- Homeowner planning package: three PDF documents for your kitchen or bath: design and planning drawings; product and finish selections; and a proposal with the scope of work and an itemized planning budget.
- Contractor services: estimating and business process consulting. The monthly partnership includes a business kickoff, pricing setup and a process review, alongside estimates and proposals for a contractor’s jobs: the takeoff, line-by-line pricing, a written scope, a proposal under the contractor’s name, a plan package for each trade and, when a kitchen or bath needs it, 3D design and planning drawings (see section 6).
- Free Quote Check: our review of a quote you received (see section 4).
3. What our documents are, and aren’t
- We provide estimating, planning documents and business process consulting. We are not a contractor, a licensed design professional or an engineer. We do not build, install, supply products or supervise work.
- Our documents are estimates, proposals and planning drawings for planning and pricing discussions. They are not permit drawings, engineering, construction documents or a contract, and they are not stamped or certified by a licensed professional.
- The planning budget is an estimate for planning. It is not a quote, a bid or a guarantee of what your project will cost. Actual prices depend on the contractor you hire, your product choices, site conditions and timing.
- Construction, products, installation and site supervision are not included.
- Our documents rely on the photos, measurements and information you or your contractor give us. Field verification is your and your contractor’s responsibility: check all measurements and existing conditions on site before ordering materials or starting work.
- You are responsible for choosing and hiring your contractor, and for permits, inspections, code compliance and any licensed professional work your project needs.
4. Free Quote Check
- The Quote Check is free and there is no obligation to buy anything.
- We take a limited number each week (the first 10), so we may not be able to review yours.
- A Quote Check is our opinion of the quote you send, based only on what you send us. It is not legal or financial advice, not an inspection, and not an endorsement of any contractor.
- We also do estimating for some contractors. We never share your quote or your details with any contractor, and if your quote comes from one of them, we’ll tell you before we review it.
- We keep Quote Check photos only as long as needed for your check and delete them within 90 days, or sooner if you ask, and don’t use them for anything else. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Prices and payment
- Homeowner planning package: $149 launch price for orders placed through October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time; $299 for orders placed from November 1, 2026.
- How you pay: a 50% deposit when you order, and the remaining 50% when your documents are delivered.
- Optional measurement visit: $80, where available. We’ll confirm we can visit your location before you pay for it.
- Contractor services: $150 per job, or the monthly plan at $1,500 for a business kickoff, pricing setup, process review and up to 10 remodel jobs. Additions, ADUs and new homes are priced from the plans before we start. See section 6.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. The price that applies is the one in effect when you place your order. When a homeowner deposit or balance, or a contractor service, is paid through a Stripe payment link, Stripe processes the card or bank payment; we never see or store your full card number. Contractor services are invoiced, with a Stripe payment link available when offered. The agreed service, price and payment timing still apply.
6. Contractor services
This section applies when a contractor (“you,” the builder) orders estimating or business process consulting services from us. Where it differs from another section of these terms, this section controls for contractor services.
- What one job includes: a takeoff and quantities; every line priced (from your own past prices once your price book is set up, and until then from current Massachusetts supplier and subcontractor pricing); a written scope of work; a proposal PDF with your logo, company name and license number; a link your client can use to approve the proposal online; a plan package for each trade that you can email to your subcontractors from your own Gmail (you approve every email before it is sent); an allowance agreed with you, with its basis clearly marked, on a line still waiting for a subcontractor’s quote; and 3D design and planning drawings when a kitchen or bath needs them. Approval by link is a typed name, not a signed contract.
- Agreed job scope: each remodel job has an agreed scope and included revisions, confirmed before work starts. The monthly allowance is for those defined jobs; additions, ADUs and new homes are quoted separately.
- Price per job: $150 for any remodel job: kitchens, baths, basements, decks, roofs, siding, windows, doors and floors, and single-trade takeoffs. Additions, ADUs and new homes are priced from the plans: we tell you the price and the delivery date before we start, and you decide whether to go ahead.
- Your first standalone job: $50, pay only if you like it. One first standalone job per company. This trial applies to the estimate and proposal, not the monthly consulting partnership. We send the invoice after you see the proposal. If you don’t want it, tell us: you owe nothing, and you don’t use the documents.
- Turnaround: single jobs are usually delivered within 2 business days after we have complete photos and measurements, or complete plans. That is a usual time, not a promise.
- Monthly plan turnaround guarantee: drawings and 3D follow the schedule agreed for each job; on the monthly plan, your proposal for a remodel job is delivered within 2 business days after we have complete photos and measurements, or complete plans, or that job is free and doesn’t count toward your 10 jobs. “Complete” means photos of every area of the work, the main sizes, and what the client wants. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding Massachusetts and federal holidays. If we need more information, we ask first, and the 2 business days start when we have it. Consulting sessions, custom automation and other system builds are not covered by the remodel proposal guarantee. Additions, ADUs and new homes are not covered by this guarantee: their date is agreed from the plans.
- Monthly plan: $1,500 a month for up to 10 jobs, invoiced monthly in advance. Extra jobs that month are $100 each. Unused jobs don’t roll over to the next month. Cancel any time before your next month starts, by email or text, and you won’t be invoiced again.
- Business kickoff and process review: the monthly partnership includes an initial working session with Jorge, review of the pricing and business processes you share, a price book built from your available records, and a prioritized improvement plan. We confirm the kickoff format, location, availability and starting scope before the first invoice. In-person business kickoffs are arranged in Massachusetts; remote sessions are also available. This is not a jobsite measurement visit, inspection or construction supervision. We agree the working arrangements and included revisions before starting.
- Subcontractor pricing support: for included jobs, we help organize trade packages, track outstanding subcontractor prices, compare the quotes you provide, identify missing scope, and prepare requests, questions and follow-up drafts. You approve outgoing messages, select subcontractors and approve prices. We agree with you what to carry for unconfirmed figures and label those allowances and their basis until reviewed. We do not guarantee a third party’s response or price.
- Automation and systems: the monthly partnership includes process review, recommendations and setup of the existing Plan & Price tools agreed at kickoff for your first priorities. Custom integrations, websites and larger automation or job-cost system builds require a separate scope and price, agreed before work begins. Third-party subscriptions are separate. Access to any account is arranged with you; outgoing messages require your approval.
- One builder per town: while you are on the monthly plan, we won’t sign a second monthly-plan builder based in the same town. This applies only to the monthly plan.
- Payment: by invoice. Invoices are due when received unless the invoice says otherwise.
- Your client and your contract: you stay the contractor. You set your price, you decide what to send, and your own written contract with your client governs the work (for home improvement work, M.G.L. c. 142A). Our proposal is not that contract. We never contact your client.
- Confidentiality: your prices, your client’s information and your documents stay confidential. We never share them with other builders, and we don’t use them for another builder’s jobs.
7. Scope and delivery
For homeowner orders, before work starts, we confirm with you in writing (by email or text) the scope of your documents, the information we need from you and your delivery date. Delivery dates depend on getting your photos, measurements and answers on time; if we’re waiting on information, the date moves with it.
Work outside the confirmed scope may cost extra. We’ll tell you the price and get your OK before doing it.
8. Revisions
The revisions included with your order are confirmed with you before work starts. Additional revisions or changes outside the confirmed scope may cost extra, and we’ll always tell you the price first.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Homeowner planning packages:
- If you cancel before we confirm your scope and begin work, we refund your full deposit.
- Once work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel before delivery, you won’t owe the remaining balance.
- If we can’t deliver your documents, we refund everything you paid.
These deposit rules apply only to homeowner planning packages. Contractor services follow section 6: the first job is paid only if you like it, a late monthly-plan job under the guarantee is free, and the monthly plan can be cancelled any time before your next month starts. If we can’t deliver a contractor job you already paid for, we refund it.
To cancel, email jorge@planandprice.com or text (877) 369-5137. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
10. Your materials
You own the photos, measurements, quotes, drawings and other materials you send us. You give us permission to use them to prepare your documents and provide the services you ask for. We won’t publish them on our website, social media or anywhere else without your permission. Please send only materials you have the right to share.
11. Your documents
Once paid for, the documents we prepare for you are yours to keep, print and share with contractors, suppliers, lenders, your clients and anyone else involved in your project. A contractor’s first job that isn’t paid for (see section 6) isn’t yours to use. We keep the rights to our templates, formats and methods, so the documents may not be resold or republished as someone else’s product. We may keep a copy for our records, and we won’t publish your documents without your permission.
Sample documents and images on our website are illustrative examples, not a promise of a particular design or price for your project.
12. No warranties beyond the stated scope
We prepare your documents with reasonable care, within the scope we confirm with you. Beyond that, our documents, services and website are provided “as is.” We don’t promise that contractor bids will match the planning budget, that products will stay available or at the listed price, or that the website will always be available or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about our services or website is limited to the amount you paid us for the service the claim is about. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including construction costs, delays, contractor work, product purchases or lost profits.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Massachusetts law that cannot be waived.
14. Using our website
Please don’t misuse the site: don’t try to access private areas, interfere with how it works, or copy its content or sample documents for commercial use.
15. Massachusetts law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If a problem comes up, please contact us first and we’ll try to resolve it directly. Any dispute that can’t be resolved that way will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version applies from its effective date and doesn’t change the terms of an order you’ve already placed.
